What does the abortion ban mean for South Carolina?

At WREN, we believe in the power of stories. Advocacy is a multi-layered strategy that requires data, stories, and people power. In order to provide effective advocacy, WREN relies on each piece of the puzzle.
Here’s how you can help. Your experiences are your expertise and we need you to share that expertise with us! When it comes to making change statistics matter, but stories stick. Decision-makers rely on input from the community to govern and it’s our job to share that input with them. By sharing your story with WREN you are providing us with another piece of the puzzle. Your story matters because decision-makers often lead with their hearts and a story from a constituent is often the most powerful tool we have. We have been in the room when legislators reference stories from our network in support of our issues. We’ve experienced first hand the power your stories have.
We need you to tap in to that power. WREN is focusing on three areas that will impact our community in the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you have a story that you want to share, please complete the form below. Share the ways these issues have impacted your life. (Ex. Were you able to use paid leave during the COVID-19 pandemic? Were you able to access benefits to assist you in this time?)
There is an option to remain anonymous, we understand the risk many people face in speaking out. We only collect identifying information in case we need to reach out to you. If you choose to remain anonymous, your name will not be shared.
You’ll notice an option to upload a file, not everyone shares in the same way. Maybe paragraphs aren’t your thing, send us a voice memo or picture that gets the point across.
Now is the time to invest in South Carolina’s women, girls, and families. We need people like you joining the movement, speaking out, and leading the way toward positive change.
