South Carolina Coalition for Healthy Families

The South Carolina Coalition for Healthy Families is a network of organizations that advocates, educates and collaborates to expand access to sexual and reproductive health information, services, and rights for all South Carolinians. We support the adoption and implementation of laws and policies that:

  • Expand access to evidence-based, age-appropriate, culturally- and linguistically- appropriate, comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and disease prevention education in schools and communities.
  • Enhance accessibility, affordability, and availability of the full range of sexual and reproductive health services for all South Carolinians.
  • Ensure all South Carolinians are informed and empowered to make decisions, free from coercion, bias and stigma, about their sexual and reproductive health, including decisions about if, when, and under what circumstances to become parents.
  • Support all families to enhance their health and well-being.

Supporting Groups:

In addition to these partners, many organizations throughout

The Access Guide

The Access Guide was developed as a tool for health care providers and individuals seeking comprehensive sexual and reproductive health resources in their local and adjacent communities. The South Carolina Coalition for Healthy Families (SCCHF) supports increasing access to information and services. SCCHF does not endorse any particular service or resource, but rather believes every individual has the right to access unbiased information to make her own best decision.

Along with providing a directory of services, this guide contains information on state and federal programs providing assistance to those in need, and laws regulating the provision of services. SCCHF encourages users to explore provided links and conduct their own research for more in-depth information.
