What does the abortion ban mean for South Carolina?

Richland Library North Main location | Columbia, SC
President Trump announced this summer that Judge Brett Kavanaugh is his nominee to replace Justice Kennedy on the Supreme Court. His hearing date has been scheduled for September 4th, 2018.
While we do not know if Judge Kavanuagh will be confirmed, we know that our rights hang in the balance in the Supreme Court. Last year at a speech, Kavanaugh PRAISED the dissent in Roe v. Wade, calling the idea that women have a constitutional right to an abortion “freewheeling”.
Join WREN for a screening of “No Choice” and a conversation on what the United States was like before abortion was legal, how Roe v. Wade made a difference, and the barriers that still exist in South Carolina.
Attendance is free, but seating is limited. Please register to let us know you’re coming. Movie snacks will be provided. Please note, this screening is happening at the NORTH Main Richland Library. This is not the location on Assembly street.
