Emily Bowerman is the MatchBoard Consultant at WREN. She has led appointed office initiatives for the Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics, South Carolina Women in Leadership (SC WIL), and WREN, working to expand access to leadership opportunities in government.

Her work focuses on increasing transparency and participation in appointed offices at both the state and local levels. Emily works closely with public officials, community leaders, and residents across South Carolina to make board and commission appointment processes more transparent and accessible and connect citizens with opportunities to serve.

She also leads MatchBoard, a civic technology platform used by local governments across South Carolina to manage board and commission applications and broaden access to public service.
