July 19th Ad Hoc Hearing- Let’s Make Some Noise!

by Ashley Lidow on Jul 14, 2022

The South Carolina House of Representatives has put together a special Ad Hoc Committee to consider NEW legislation related to the Supreme Court’s decision on abortion. Even though the committee did everything they could to stack the odds against us, we had hundreds show up to speak out. Unfortunately, many testifiers were turned away from speaking and waited for hours in 100 degree weather to be heard.

The committee is meeting again on July 19th to discuss the abortion ban in South Carolina and STILL NOT providing space for individuals to be heard. They will be no time allowed for verbal testimonies. Here is the meeting agenda.

Meet us on Statehouse grounds at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19th to make some noise! The meeting will take place at the Blatt Building. Click here for directions to the Statehouse. We won’t stand for this.
