Here are some of the main talking points:
- Create a plan. Set up your budget, determine your priorities and must-dos, and build a timeline!
- Get creative with lodging and meals. Airbnb and VRBO are useful websites/apps for inexpensive lodging.
- Be smart about using credit cards to maximize travel perks. Bankrate and The Points Guy provide useful tips on this.
- Travel off-season or take the less-beaten path. To learn more about popular v. quieter seasons, Kayak, Trip Advisor and Scott’s Cheap Flights are useful websites.
To get the full extent of our tips and tricks, watch the full video and share with your friends.
Be sure to stay tuned on the first Friday of every month for our #FirstFinancialFriday discussions with Abacus Planning Group on Facebook Live. In the weeks in between, we will host discussions with a variety of different partners, community leaders and experts to highlight the good work they are doing for women and girls in South Carolina. Keep watching our Facebook livestreams, and join in on the discussion.
Safe travels!
