Columbia City of Women to Honor New Class of Leaders

by WREN Staff on Mar 5, 2020

Join us on International Women’s Day as we reveal eight new women as the 2020 class of Columbia City of Women honorees.

On March 31, 2019, Former First Lady of South Carolina Rachel Hodges, WREN, and Historic Columbia introduced Columbia City of Women, a very special initiative to put women in their (rightful) place — on the map. With a dedicated group of partners from across the city, we celebrated 12 remarkable women from the past and the present who pushed boundaries, stood up for others, and made Columbia a better place.

In 2020, our mission remains the same: to connect Columbia residents of all backgrounds, and all gender identities, to the rich legacies of our all-too-often under-sung women leaders, whose contributions are woven into the fabric of this city.

Please plan to join us on International Women’s Day as we return to the Columbia Museum of Art to reveal eight new women as the 2020 class of Columbia City of Women honorees.

Light hors d’oeuvres and champagne provided. Valet parking available.
