3 Ways You Can Support #PaidLeaveForAll
by WREN Staff on Oct 15, 2020
What is paid leave?
Paid leave was the number one relief policy voters wanted in recent polling. Paid leave saves lives, and livelihoods, but what is it? Paid leave enables workers to take time to care for themselves or a loved one without risking their job or paycheck. We know that families and the nation are strongest when we all have time to heal from illness, to welcome a new child, to help a loved one recover or ease their passing. Yet, despite the recognized benefits of this policy, only 19% of workers nationwide have paid leave from their employers.
The US is one of the only countries in the world without a national paid leave policy.
We want to change that, here’s how you can help.
